About the Programme
Hands in the soil. Mind in the moment.
Participants learn soil preparation, planting techniques, watering practices, and crop maintenance. The programme also introduces the basics of growing vegetables and sustaining a productive garden.
This is an outdoor, active programme — participants are in the garden from day one, not reading about it.
Core Gardening Skills
Soil preparation
Understanding soil health, composting, and proper bed preparation techniques.
Planting & watering
Learn spacing, planting depth, seedling care, and effective irrigation basics.
Crop maintenance
Weeding, pruning, pest awareness, and knowing the right harvest timing.
Sustainable growing
Introduction to vegetable farming and small scale sustainable agriculture.
The therapeutic value
Gardening as healing, not just growing
Working with plants has a measurable calming effect. Gardening reduces stress, improves focus, and nurtures a positive mindset — making it a meaningful part of the recovery journey.
Routine, patience, and discipline emerge naturally through consistent participation — not through instruction, but through experience.
Entrepreneurial pathway
From a garden bed to a livelihood
Participants are introduced to the potential of small-scale vegetable farming and agricultural ventures. This opens genuine pathways toward income generation and self-sustainability after completing the programme.
Why it matters
Nurturing a plant and nurturing yourself are not so different. Both require care, patience, and time.
